Good news for all those Louis Vuitton fans in Seattle: the University Street brick and mortar is relocating to its own boutique in Nordstrom just a few blocks over. Opening today , you’ll find Louis Vuitton available on the Pine Street side of the Nordstrom flagship, first floor.
While the brand has been around since 1854, it’s had a place in Seattle for only about a decade. Operating just like a standalone shop, the new digs in Nordstrom will offer all the usual special order services as well as personalization, plus loads and loads of bags. Weve been told the Twist MM bag is one of Seattles popular Vuitton purchases, and those little exotic birds will be front and center at the entrance in the new location.
For those curious in Bellevue, there are no plans to move the location at the Bravern.

The advantage of buying through a department store is the department stores loyalty program. I try to buy everything through Nordstrom. There are Nordstrom stores with LV and Chanel boutiques. I have the Nordstrom cc. I get 3 triple points days. When I buy a Chanel bag, I use one of my triple points days, so I end up with a Nordstrom Note of about $300. Every little bit helps.

I try and only shop Saks, Neimans, Macys or Bloomys. IMO the service is way better. They also tend to have harder to find items in stock. You can use their store credit cards or gift cards for purchases and earn rewards. The return policy is the same I believe, 30 days.
Nice to know! Actually I felt the same way when I visited LV shops recently. It was my first time visiting LV stores so it was quite intimidating. I got way better service when I visited the one inside Bloomingdale vs the store.
From what I know, you can exchange items from the department stores for LV with the stand alone, you just can’t get a refund instead and would have to return it back to the department store. Also when I exchanged my item from a department LV store to my stand alone boutique it was final sale. This is what my SA told me at the stand alone LV store at least when I needed to return/exchange something.

Bellevue Detectives Charge Suspects In Organized Retail Theft Rings Involving Louis Vuitton Nordstrom
According to the Bellevue Police Department, Bellevue detectives have cracked the cases of three major regional organized retail theft rings responsible for over $100,000 in stolen merchandise. Charges have been made in two of the organized cases, while the third is pending.
Four suspects have been charged, three with working together to steal from the Louis Vuitton store at The Shops at The Bravern. The fourth suspect sold the bags illegally. Investigators explained that the three suspects went twice in June 2022 and stole about $93,000 worth of purses.
Detectives found the stolen purses for sale online, set up a buy, and arrested one of the suspects.
All four charged in this case had extensive criminal histories, according to charging documents. These suspects were aggressive and coordinated in their efforts and often physically confronted employees or security who stood in their way, said Captain Shelby Shearer. These crew also caused significant damage to the stores during the thefts, causing some businesses to close for the day to clean up the mess.
The second case involves a 24 year-old suspect accused of multiple thefts totaling nearly $13,000 from Bellevues Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack in October and November 2021.
The third case that is currently pending, involved an almost $7000 theft from Ulta in Factoria.
According to Bellevue Beat Blog, additional charges are expected.
